Bill T. Jones Residency Continues

Today at 4:30 p.m. in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom
Deborah McDowell, writer, scholar and editor of African-American literature and director of U.Va.’s Carter G. Woodson Institute for African-American and African Studies will interview internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Bill T. Jones. The event is free and open to the public.

The interview is the second public event in the weeklong collaborative workshop and residency of Jones and the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company to research Jones’ new work celebrating the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth.

Other events during the residency include master classes; a lecture/demonstration with Jones and members of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company; and a performance on the Lower Lawn.
